Who Is Enoch .A. Adeboye?

Enoch Adejare Adeboye is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. A mathematical Brilliant scholar, He graduated with a Master’s in Hydrodynamics from the University of Lagos in 1969 and also graduated with a doctorate in applied mathematics from the University of Lagos in 1975. He is a mathematics professor at the University of Lagos.

Over 60 books have been authored by Enoch Adeboye. His daily devotional book (Open Heavens), which is produced in over 1 million copies annually and is available in English, French, and other major world languages, is widely read all over the world.

Enoch .A. Adeboye’s Early Life / Marriage

Enoch Adeboye often jokes that his family was so poor that even poor people called them poor. He was born in 1942 into a modest family in the village of Ifewara, Osun State, in the southwest of Nigeria. In fact, he tells his congregation with little remorse that he didn’t own shoes until he was eighteen, But he also possessed concrete intangibles like concentration, constancy, assiduity, ambition, a sharp mind, and a will to succeed in life.

The extreme poverty of Pastor Adeboye’s family was incompatible with his desire to pursue a career in academia. His parents didn’t let that stop them; they sold a few prized items and borrowed money from generous neighbors to make sure he went to school.

Enoch Adeboye was enrolled to Ilesha Grammar School, in Ilesha, Osun State, Western Nigeria, in 1956. As a young man, he developed a love of reading and a talent for science, especially mathematics. In spite of overwhelming obstacles including money, the Nigerian Civil War, and academic politics, this led to a mathematical academic adventure.

By the time he was finished, Enoch Adeboye had graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics from the University of Nigeria in Nsukka, Nigeria in 1967, a Master of Science (MSc) in Hydrodynamics from the University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria in 1969, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria in 1975.

EA adeboye’s wife is Foluke Adeniyi Adeboye.

she was born on the 13th of July 1948, she is also a pastor, televangelist, conference speaker and author. Before earning a grade II teaching certificate from United Missionary College, Ibadan, and a diploma in education (science and mathematics) at the College of Education, University of Lagos, she attended Methodist Primary School-Oke Eshe-Ilesha and Methodist Girls School-Agurodo-Ilesha.

She graduated with a PhD in education on July 17, 2022, from Benson Idahosa University in Benin, Edo State.
