The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) is a Pentecostal denomination with congregations throughout several nations, with the General Overseer, Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (DKO) who has many credits to his name due to his writing prowess on deliverance and his well known prayer book, titled The Prayer Rain. The Ministry was founded in Yaba, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria in 1989.
The leadership of MFM and its subsidiary, Battle Cry Ministries, place a strong focus on deliverance ministry and prayers against the activities of demonic spirits, in contrast to a few well-known charismatic and Pentecostal African-originated ministries that promote the prosperity gospel.
Members are instructed on how to deal with ancestral spirits as well as the existence of hidden evil and spiritual forces that impede one’s progress toward realizing one’s “destiny,” leading to a theology that encourages practices predominately centered on prayer in order to free people from those invisible bonds.

HISTORY OF MOUNTAIN OF FIRE AND MIRACLES MINISTRIES.
Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (DKO) called a prayer gathering not long after receiving his Ph.D. from the United Kingdom and while working at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research. On a Wednesday in 1989, this occurred. There were 24 brothers present at the gathering. That meeting took place in DKO’s living room.
The providential voice kept calling for additional meetings after that one. At these gatherings, the might of God descended, and the attending brethren’s lives started experiencing observable miracles. People started traveling from far and wide to seek the face of God as the power of God started to evangelize the prayer gatherings
A bigger space was needed because the prayer gatherings were being attended by an increasing number of individuals. In Yaba, Lagos, at 60 Old Yaba Road, the prayer gatherings were relocated. The thronging congregation of believers increased in size to even more astounding proportions here, necessitating yet another transfer.
The prayer group was given the opportunity to buy an abandoned slum at 13 Olasimbo Street, Onike, Yaba. It was a sizable plot of land close to the University of Lagos’ second entrance. The international headquarters of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, whose general overseer is Dr. Olukoya, has now been converted from that slum. During routine prayer, DKO received the name “Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries,” and on April 24, the church had its first service.
Even at the new location, believers and others in need of assistance continued to arrive, resulting in a sizable congregation. The leadership of the church faced a challenge in managing the audience, development, and expansion in this situation. Thus, MFM developed a strategy of a network of branches in every state capital, local government office, senatorial district, and locality under the guidance of the Lord.
MFM branches continue to grow up now and over the globe, making it one of the churches in this generation with the quickest growth rates. Before extending to the United States, Canada, the rest of Europe, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia, international church branches originally began in London. MFM has a significant impact and is highly visible on every continent.

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Programs / Events Calendar
MFM Ministries engage in monthly special programs organized to minister healing, deliverance, and restoration unto men.
- Manner Water Service; This service holds every Wednesday from 4;30 pm – 6:30 pm. Every Member is Instructed to come fasting with a bottle of water
- Every month at MFM Prayer City, a special service called Power Must Change Hands (PMCH) is held (unless otherwise stated). For those living outside of Lagos or the Federal Republic of Nigeria, PMCH is also broadcast LIVE on satellite television and the internet. It is held on the FIRST Saturday of every month from 7 AM to 12 PM WAT.
- Every Friday at MFM Prayer City, with the exception of the Friday before Power, Must Change Hands, a weekly program called Prayer Rain is held.

Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
Every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and by being conformed to the image of Christ.
