TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 21ST JANUARY 2024

Beloved, you need a new mindset. You can learn from anyone, anywhere, in any place, and under any condition. Pride is an enemy of progress. Some believers are too proud. They give the posture of “I know it all.” Child of God, you don’t. You must come down from your high horse and learn from others.

After the experience on the Mount of Transfiguration, the Bible declares that Jesus came down from the mountain. He came down because that is where ministry is. He came down and began to utilize the anointing and the transformation He received while He was there on the mountain. It is necessary to come down from the mountain and identify with the people. Until you sit where they sit, your ministry will not be effective. Put yourself in their shoes so that you can effectively serve them.

When you come down to where the people are, you will not only be effective in ministry, but you will also benefit from the people. You will learn from them because you can learn from the unlearned, and you can learn from children. You will rob yourself of blessings when you are arrogant and fail to come down.

Take a look at 2 Kings 5:1 ”…Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man…but he was a leper.” (KJV). But the vessel that God used to supply the information that ultimately led to his supernatural healing was a little maid who waited on his wife. Naaman would have died of leprosy if he said to the maid: “Who are you? Do you know how many wars I have fought?

Many Christians have garaged themselves because they have purposed in their hearts how God should answer them. God, I am praying, but this is how you must answer me. What arrogance! Don’t allow pride to rob you of your blessings. Come down from the mountaintop and be open to learning.
