Bishop Mike Okonkwo founded The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) on the 4th, of January 1981. The ministry, which began modestly in an unfinished structure, has expanded into a household name with over 160 branches in 10 different countries.
The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (Trem) is a multigenerational church dedicated to developing impactful individuals, assisting them in fulfilling their divine mission, and drawing families nearer to God.
On January 4th, 1981, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) was formally established. The ministry, which began modestly in an unfinished structure, has expanded into a household name with over 160 branches in 10 different countries.
The ministry’s global headquarters is in Lagos, Obanikoro/Anthony Oke. The ministry has kept the mission of Jesus Christ, which is to travel into all the world and make disciples of all countries, alive with a pastoral staff of over 200 men and women of God selected from all across the nation. The ministry’s several branches are all focused on finding the “unreached” wherever they may be. Additionally, the ministry launches a variety of initiatives that aim to connect with the average person and revitalize them.

On the 4th of January 1981, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) was formally established. The ministry, which began modestly in an unfinished structure in Nigeria, has expanded into a household name with more than 160 branches in ten different countries.
The ministry has maintained the mission of Jesus Christ, which is to travel into all the world and make disciples of all countries, with a pastoral staff of over 200 men and women of God selected from all across the nation. The church has a number of ministry branches that are all focused on finding the “unreached” wherever they may be. Additionally, the ministry launches a variety of initiatives and programs that is aimed at assisting the less fortunate and providing them with a new lease on life.
On July 3, 1998, TREM Place of Sanctuary was established in London as a part of a worldwide effort to carry out the ministry’s goal. Since then, the branch has developed into a thriving spiritual hub in Hammersmith and Fulham, offering comfort and hope to the lives of men.

The TREM Church Beliefs
The Redeemed Evangelical Mission Believes in the following.
- The New Heaven and Earth
The entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.
In one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.
Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.
Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
Every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and by being conformed to the image of Christ.
As children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors, and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
