Today’s Word Christ Embassy Church 2nd October 2022
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Asimilar verse to our opening scripture is 1 John 4:4; it says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” We also read something just as inspiring and enthralling from Peter in his second epistle: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4). How about Paul? Read what he pens for us by the Spirit in Romans 8:35-39: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword…Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
