Charles R. Swindoll has devoted his life to the precise, useful teaching of God’s Word and His grace, as well as to its application. HISTORY OF STONEBRIAR COMMUNITY CHURCH, TEXAS.
Stonebriar Community Church was founded in 1998 when a group of people got together in the middle of one of the fastest-growing towns in the country, Frisco, Texas, to discuss and pray about starting a church. Senior Pastor Chuck Swindoll was part of the group, which God brought together and blessed in their endeavors.
In just six months, the ministries temporal location a community college had 1,500 individuals attending worship services. After formally inaugurating the first worship center in February 2001, two Sunday morning services quickly reached 1,500-seat auditorium capacity. The central Indian state of Chhattisgarh was chosen by Stonebriar Community Church as the focus of their strategic missions in 2002. In ten years, the church hopes to train 1,000 national pastors, establish 1,000 churches, and witness the conversion of 500,000 individuals. In 2006, 230 national pastors were overseeing 750 churches and home groups with a combined membership of 20,000 people, and 280 men and women had received theology diplomas
To accommodate the growth, the ministry introduced a third Sunday morning worship session in their fifth year. In the fall of 2008, work on a new Worship Center was finished, allowing 3,000 people to attend each worship service.
