The Topic of Teenagers Open Heavens for Saturday 9 Th December 2023 Is “ plan Ahead”
Read: Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
Memorise: Luke 14:28a
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first and counteth the cost….
There’s a general saying that “he who fails to plan, plans to fail,” This means having good success is not by luck but by work. So, if you must succeed in your chosen career or field, you must plan.
Another reason for planning is to avoid wasting time and resources. As a student, you need to plan your time. If one does not plan his or her time well, it will be spent on frivolous things that would profit nothing. For instance, if you intend to write an examination this year, you need to have a reading timetable that would guide you on what to read and when to study.
Setting goals is also another way of planning. You need to ask yourself what you would like to achieve this year, five years from now, and ten years from now, and have a plan that would help you achieve your goals. In planning for bigger goals, you will need to set smaller goals to help you achieve the bigger ones. There is also the place of evaluation. At the end of each day, ask yourself, have I achieved what I planned to do today?

Father, help me to fulfil my destiny.
