Today’s Scripture Reference: Matthew 16:25
“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it”.
Jesus lost His life for our sake when He was crucified, so that our sins could be washed away and we could inherit the promise of eternal life. Considering the example we have in this, when we put Jesus first before everything else—even our own life—we receive that promise.
