TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY 9TH JULY 2019 – FOR WEDNESDAY 10TH JULY 2019 -LET’S STRIVE TOGETHER FOR THE GOSPEL

TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

Trem devotional by Bishop Mike Okonkwo of the the Redeemed Evangelical Mission for today is here. Digest the word of the lord and pray believing.

“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”

In the Godhead, we see the uniqueness of the Godhead – God, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The Bible tells us that in the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1). But we discover in the Gospel of St John Chapter 1 that:

“In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made”. And the Bible lets us know that the “Word” that became flesh is “Jesus”.

The Bible says in John 1 that without Him was nothing made that was made and yet in Genesis1:1, it says “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth”. If you read Colossians 1:16, it also emphasizes the fact that Jesus created the heaven and the earth. You may think that this is a contradiction. It is not contradictory. The Bible never and will never contradict itself.

But the truth is that in the Godhead, there is that uniqueness. We see the interplay of every member of the Godhead. Each one complementing the other and there is no conflict in their operation. That is the same way that we ought to function as the Church.

The principle of uniqueness demands that every person should fill the part which has been assigned to him. It also demands that   we all recognize the importance of each part.

Child of God, your role is important, and your part is vital. Don’t ever look down on yourself. Heaven is counting on you. I celebrate you today in Jesus’ name.
