Too often, we think we have to pay God back for our mistakes. No, recognize the price has already been paid. All your sins past, present, and future have been taken care of.
When we’re living guilty, begging God to forgive us, telling him how unworthy we are, we’re saying let me get up on the cross. Let me pay for this. The way to honor God is not by being down on yourself, living guilty, unworthy. It’s by receiving His mercy.
