When you understand the pruning shears are in God’s hands. When you know His plans for you are for good. When you know He won’t cut you back without a purpose, that whatever He takes away temporarily is so He can bring you out with more fruit. Then, you won’t be frustrated in the cutback season.
You won’t get bitter and lose your faith and think, “God, where are You? It’s not fair. I was doing the right thing. Why did I go backward?” You trust your Father. You know He’s in control of the cutbacks. He wouldn’t take you backward if He wasn’t going to bring you out with much fruit.
