If you only know God as this majestic Creator of the universe, then you can be judgmental, write people off. But you need to realize that even though He sits high, He stoops low. He doesn’t disqualify people because they’re off course now. He comes down to redeem, to restore, to set them among princes.
Could it be if you don’t rise up and put a stop to what’s hindering you, then hundreds of years from now, your family will still be struggling with it? God is saying, “This is your time. This is your moment.” Your destiny is calling out to you. You can either put up with it and let it conquer you or you can put your foot down and say, “No, I’m going to be a Phinehas. I’m going to put a stop to what’s holding us back. I’m going to deal with this addiction, this anger, this compromise, this depression. I’m not going to let my history keep me from my destiny.”
