2022 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.
Some people complain about situations they can do something about. Such people, for instance, come to church on a Sunday morning and whine about how untidy the whole place is, how dirty the seats are, and so on. A truly responsible person, on the other hand, notices the place untidy and thinks, “This is a perfect opportunity for me to help out,” and then plans to be there early the following week to help clean and tidy the place.
That’s taking responsibility. You become responsible by looking out for a need and reaching out to meet that need. That in itself is a
fundamental principle of success. Learn to be responsible in church, at home, and in school. Have the consciousness that if you don’t do what ought to be done, no one might.
Have the ability to respond when there’s a need; that’s what responsibility is—response-ability! While you’re living with your parents, relatives, friends, or guardians, make up your mind that your impact would be felt. If you can’t be available to do some of the chores in the home, find another way to make your impact felt. Learn to be responsible; responsible people are noble people.
