Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

2021 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MESSAGE.
“Hey Debbie, I noticed you’ve been sad all day. What’s the problem?” Pam asked her friend Debbie, who had been withdrawn all day during the class.
“Yeah, I read an article about how it’s good to embrace our negative emotions, and since I felt a bit sad this morning, I decided to just embrace the feeling.”
“You read an article? That’s not the Word of God! Debbie, you need to be careful what or who you listen to. The Word of God should be your guide always.”
There’re so many people saying all sorts of things in today’s world, from social media and news to books and movies. As a young Christian, you must be careful and discerning enough to refuse and reject every ungodly voice and counsel. Obey only the voice of the Spirit! That’s the heavenly voice that Abraham heard when God said to him, “…Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you” (Genesis 12:1 NIV).
Abraham didn’t know where he was being asked to go. The Bible says, “…He was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God” (Hebrews 11:10 NIV). He obeyed that heavenly voice without questions.
As Christians, we’re not of this world. We’re from Heaven and so must live accordingly. There’re blessings for the one who rejects the counsel (advice) of the ungodly (Psalm 1). But sadly, many people don’t understand this. No wonder they’re not walking in the blessings of God. It doesn’t matter that they’re religious or been in Church for a long time. They’re not walking in the Father’s perfect will because they follow the counsel of men based on the natural senses and leads to failure.
When you live by God’s Word, His counsel, life is different! You’re in safety, at peace, and in prosperity. You’ll heap success upon success. You’ll be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth fruits in season and out of season, and whatsoever you do prospers. Let the voice of God, through His Word, be the final arbiter in all that you do.
