SUNDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2019 – UPROOTING THE TREE OF NON-ACHIEVEMENT

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Our God is known for supernatural achievements. The great works He accomplished in creation in just six days were phenomenal and beyond human comprehension. God has the power and ability to do all things; He never fails. He also gives the power and ability to record phenomenal feats and supernatural successes to His children. It is clear, therefore, that failure, non-achievement, profitless hard work and fruitless efforts are not of God.

It is the devil that afflicts people with financial problems, satanic embargo on progress, tortoise and snail anointing as well as fishing and catching nothing in the ocean of life. Have you observed that in spite of your hard work and genuine efforts at making ends meet there is little or nothing to show for living? You are a victim of the spirit of non-achievement. However, it is important that you realise your status in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 gives a right description of our status, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” God is not the author of failure.

Everything God created was good. When He created man, the Bible says it was very good. You are God’s creation. You are His workmanship. You are His master piece. You are the crown of everything God created. When God created man, He created him in His own image and after His own likeness. He gave man dominion over all creation (Genesis 1:26-30). He made him a little lower than Elohim (Psalm 8:5) He made him to reign by Christ Jesus (Revelation 5:10). He has created us to show forth His praise (1 Peter 2:9).

We cannot reflect His glory when we fail. We cannot reflect His glory in lack and poverty. When the society calls you a failure, you are not walking in the path God has made for you. God’s work cannot be spoiled or ruined. We need to get back to our Maker so that He will uproot every tree of nonachievement in our lives. Every failure and poverty mentality has to go. He, the Master Potter, will remould and reshape our lives so we can reflect His glory. Having established that the devil is the mastermind behind failure and non-achievement in people’s lives, let us examine what gives him the legal right to afflict his victims with failure and non-achievement.

The first of the causes is sin, the enemy’s trusted weapon. When you commit sin, you open the door of your life for satan to enter and cause all kinds of havoc. If you have been laboring so hard but have little or nothing to show for it, examine your life, identify any sins therein, confess to God and repent from them. Another thing that could give the enemy legal ground to afflict his victim with failure and non-achievement is evil inheritance.

Failure and non-achievement can be inherited. Evil covenants and curses also bring failure and non-achievement into people’s lives The good news is that God is ready to assist you to uproot every tree of non-achievement in your life, provided you too are ready to do battle against it in prayer. Victory can be obtained over the spirit of non-achievement. Set time aside in fasting and praying and attack the spirit of non-achievement headlong. Once you obtain that victory, your heaven will open and rain blessings into your life and the earth will yield its resources to you, in Jesus’ name.

You have the power and the authority to destroy the works of the enemy. Use them!

Let the fire of the God of Elijah destroy evil tree in your life.

PRAYER POINTS

MORNING

1. I am God’s workmanship. I am designed to succeed. I am a great achiever, in the name of Jesus.

2. Failure shall be alien to me and my family, in the name of Jesus.

3. I use the axe of fire to uproot the tree of non-achievement in my life, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. I destroy any legal ground I have given the spirit of nonachievement, in the name of Jesus.

5. Inherited problem of nonachievement, I destroy you by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6. Evil covenant associated with non-achievement, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. I break the curse of nonachievement by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
