OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 27TH AUGUST 2020.
Welcome to today’s devotional with the God that is more than enough! When an enemy that has surrendered like Pharaoh, suddenly begins to contend (fight, hate or pursue) with you again, then God is up to something incredible in your favour! There are some battles that reoccur even after your testimony has been given in church! Refuse to worry! In Jeremiah 15:18, the prophet Jeremiah asked a question that all have asked at one time or the other: “Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? Wilt Thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? However before we continue, I want you to see Psalm 78:66: “And He smote His enemies in the hinder parts: He put them to a perpetual reproach.” Note HINDER PARTS! Oh, God is good! He smote His enemies (your enemies) from the back (hinder parts) – He took them unawares! He ambushed them! He sent them the arrow of divine surprise and perpetual reproach! God can allow stubborn enemies because He wants amazing testimonies from that stubborn and long battle! When your battles seem to be without an end as in the case of Daniel (today’s 2nd scripture), who was bound by an evil irreversible decree, always dance because your God will stamp your haters with a badge called perpetual reproach! Isaiah 59:19 says: “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” There is nothing like an EVERLASTING BATTLE! Always remember that when your battles are like a flood, there is a standard, A RED LINE it cannot cross! We gain strength by overcoming obstacles! John Maxwell said: “A difficult time can be more readily endured if we retain the conviction that our existence holds a purpose” so you are going through what you’re going through because of this. That perpetual battle is because GOD has a PURPOSE! Close with the popular Og Mandino; “I love the light for it shows me the way to go, but I love the darkness more for it shows me the stars.” Please hold on; no matter how dark it is after every storm, there is a rainbow! I hear you shall be called “The Rainbow” generation! Get ready and trust God! Pray now!

6. Jehovah! Jehovah God; raise a standard against every perpetual battle.
