OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 16TH MAY 2021.
Beloved, your words, actions, the impact you make on society and the kingdom of God, and the footprints you leave on the sands of time, can either place you on the right side of history or on the wrong side of history. And that is what you will be remembered for. If there was anybody that left a negative print on the sands of time and placed himself on the wrong side of Bible history, it was Judas Iscariot. And he did this through one act – he betrayed his Master Jesus Christ and this led to the arrest and crucifixion of the Lord Jesus at Calvary. One observation I made about Judas was that, though he was remorseful, HE NEVER WENT BACK TO GOD to repent and ask for forgiveness.RATHER, HE RETURNED TO THE PHARISEES to return the thirty pieces of silver he was paid for the dirty betrayal job and committed suicide (Matthew 27:1-5).
WHO DO YOU RETURN TO IN YOUR BATTLE SEASON? Who knows, maybe Judas would have placed himself on the right side of history, if he had gone back to God in repentance to pray for mercy, just like David did when he slept with Bathsheba and killed Uriah her husband (2 Samuel 11:1-27 and 2 Samuel 12:1-17). The Holy Ghost wants you know that no sin is too deep for the BLOOD of JESUS to redeem! Consider also MARY MAGDALENE: Mary Magdalene placed herself on the right side of history through her selfless act of worship. She anointed the LORD Jesus with the most expensive oil of her time and most likely her most expensive possession. You too can place yourself on right side of history:NEVER GIVE GOD THAT WHICH COST YOU NOTHING and never give God second best! You can become a reference point in history, just by giving your best and your all to the service of God.
You can make a generational impact, just by making a difference in somebody’s life with the little you have. God can use you to impact somebody’s life somewhere/somehow and use your gift to move His kingdom forward. Hear Edward Everett Hale: “I am only one but I am one. I cannot be everything but I can do something. I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.’’ God created you with the ability to do something, even if it is just one thing! Today’s Basic Scripture Vs. 13 says: ‘’Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.” SHE BECAME A REFERENCE POINT! A prayer you should pray daily is: LORD, MAKE ME A REFERENCE POINT TO MY GENERATION and always pray that your life, family and ministry will end on the RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY because this journey through planet earth will end someday and after that, JUDGMENT!
