The Topic of Our Daily Manna for 10th July 2021 Is “WHAT’S YOUR EXCUSE?”
Basic Scripture: Ecclesiastes 11: 1-6
1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

David Ring is one outstanding preacher and speaker that travels the world inspiring and encouraging people everywhere he goes. He was born with cerebral palsy and it severely affected him as he was growing up. However, he overcame it. When he talks, it takes very long to get the words out. When he walks, his legs and arms don’t function normally. But he refused to let his disability to limit or stop him.

He often starts his speech with a powerful motivational challenge to his audience: “My name is David Ring, what’s your excuse?” Wow! Stop asking yourself, “Why me?” No matter how many disadvantages, disabilities and limitations you have today, the goodness of God is greater! You need to look out for His goodness and take advantage of it. Quit dwelling on your disappointments and start counting your blessings.
There are no handicaps except in your mind. Some people want things to change before they reach out for their dreams; don’t be like that. Speaker and author, Dale Carnegie, says that “The person who gets the farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure- thing boat never gets far from shore.” I love the way King Solomon puts it, “He who observes the wind will not sow” (Ecc. 11:4). In other words, if you keep waiting for everything to be alright, you will never move forward in your life, family and ministry! Take stock of what you have now, find out what you can do with what you have now and move forward.

There is something about stepping out towards the direction of your dreams even in the midst of EVIL GIANTS! Do what you can do with what you have now; and as you do, new resources will come your way, new opportunities will show up and you will be able to do more.. Remember the words of Williams Jenning Bryan,: “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.” I am Bishop Chris of ODM; What is your excuse? PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 3: What a friend we have…
1 What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!
2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
3 Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge–
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield you;

Lord, deliver me from the yoke of EXCUSES. I will seize the moment and achieve greatness with WHAT YOU’VE GIVEN ME.
Pray in tongues right now against every regret,
Pray about today seriously.
