14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

TEENS OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL 9TH AUGUST 2020.
One day, Esau returned from hunting tired and hungry. He met his younger brother, Jacob, who was preparing pottage and then asked for some.
Unknown to Esau, Jacob had been eyeing his birthright as the first born.
He therefore saw the request for food as an opportunity to request for Esau’s birthright in exchange for the pottage.
Esau who was too hungry obliged him without thinking twice.
He later sought for the birthright with tears but didn’t get it back.
One very important lesson to learn from the story of Esau is, never make any rash decision.
Don’t be in a hurry to make any decision, rather, take your time. Learn to ask the Holy Spirit for direction.
Also, be careful of the decisions you make when you feel certain emotions such as; anger, hunger, happiness, sorrow et cetera.
Wrong decisions will never yield positive results.
