Read: HEBREWS 12:1-3
. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Today’s memory verse draws attention to the fact that all believers are under surveillance by a great group of witnesses. The first group is in Heaven comprising believers who achieved for God through their faith while on earth.
They are watching to see if you will run this race and finish well as they did. I am always looking forward to the day I will walk on the streets of gold and be congratulated by Apostle Paul, Father Abraham, David, Joseph et cetera and by my Lord Jesus Himself. What a glorious experience that would be!.
The second group is made up of those watching you closely from behind. They are your age mates and younger ones who are being mentored by you consciously or unconsciously. They compare your actions and reactions with the word of God to see if you’re really the Christian you claim to be.
Dear child, nothing would give God joy other than seeing you overcome sin, the flesh and Satan so that you can receive your crowns of reward when you finally make it to Heaven.
Don’t give in to secret sins, thinking no one is seeing it; a lot of people on earth and in Heaven are watching you.
