TOPIC OF OPEN HEAVENS FOR 23RD MARCH 2020 IS “TILL YOUR JOY BE FULL.”
MEMORISE: John 16:24
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
READ: MATTHEW 15:21-28
21. Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
TEENS OPEN HEAVENS DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY
_”Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7
I see many Christians pray about something for a while and then stop. They begin to adjust to the problem, looking for ways to cope with it. This is foolishness. Jesus Christ in Matthew 18:3 said that we must be like children. When a child wants something, he/she keeps crying until the parent understands what they want and give it to them.
You may say, “No, I don’t want to be a bother to God”. Who told you He is bothered by your requests? He is the one that said you should ask that your joy may be full. He is the who gave the illustration of the widow and the wicked judge in Luke 18:1-8. So why do you think that you should stop asking Him for what you want.
Are your parents separated and you want them back together? Don’t stop asking God for their reunion.
Are you ill in a part of your body and you are tired of praying for healing? Don’t stop. Is there anything you have stopped asking God for? Don’t stop. Ask until your joy is full. You can never tell, maybe you just need one more prayer to get your miracle.
ACTION POINT:
Bring to remembrance the prayers that you have gotten tired of praying and begin again to knock heaven’s doors for answers.
