MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL  FOR TODAY

Mountain Top Life daily  devotional by Pastor D.K Olukoya of the Mountain of Fire Ministry for today is here. Digest the word of the lord and pray believing

TOPIC OF MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR FRIDAY 12TH JULY IS “THE GOD OF THE PROPHETS (I)”

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 4 -6  & Acts 17:16-34
BIBLE TEXT: Jeremiah 1:5-10
MEMORY VERSE:  Hosea 12:13
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet was he preserved.
Believers in this age are not availing themselves of the ministry of prophets well enough. This could be due to their poor understanding of the ministry and roles of prophets. In different continents of the world, the signs and great works of apostles are being wrought in the lives of men and women. Because many people are missing out of the blessings of the ministry of prophets, we need to examine who prophets are.
First, prophets are God’s spokesmen. In Jeremiah 1:9-10, the Bible says concerning the call of Prophet Jeremiah,
“Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, and to build and to plant.”
Similarly, Ezekiel 3:14 and Exodus 7:12 show Ezekiel and Moses as God’s spokesmen respectively.
Second, prophets are agents of deliverance. In Hosea 12:13, the Bible says,
“And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet was he preserved.”
Similarly, in 2 Kings 3:11-18, the ministry of Prophet Elisha was a blessing to the King of Israel when the king of Moab waged war against Israel. Elisha had respect for Jehoshaphat the King of Judah and he prophesied that God would give Israel victory over Moab and it came to pass.
Also, prophets are agents of restoration. In 1 Kings 17: 17-24, God used Prophet Elijah to restore the son of the widow to life. Similarly, in 2 kings 4:18-37, Elisha raised the son of the Shunammite woman to life.
Lastly, prophets are carriers of divine rewards. In Matthew 10:41-42 , the Bible says,
“He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And who soever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.”
Beloved, a prophet turned the lives of Saul (Israel’s first king around for good), though he misused and lost the opportunity. The same Prophet Samuel was the human vessel of God to anoint, promote and fulfil the destiny of David. A prophet of God was sent to help restore the sight of Saul of Tarsus after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. I pray that the Lord will send you a prophet like Samuel, Elijah and Elisha.
More importantly, I pray that He will make you a prophet or a prophetess, in Jesus’ name.
Motivational Quote:  The presence of a prophet in a man’s life makes a difference in the course of his life.
Prophetic Word: Your God-ordained prophet shall locate you today.
PRAYER POINTS
MORNING
1. I declare that I shall not fail in life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Lord, deliver me from strange battles, in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive the anointing to manifest the spirit of prophecy, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Any power hiding my key of promotion, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every demonic information centre, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every power pursuing me with death, die, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God of the prophets, arise and fight my enemies to a standstill, in the name of Jesus.
