Longsuffering is a component of the Fruit of the Spirit, according to Galatians 5:22-23. Although the list may not particularly be in order of importance, yet the first on the list being love, according to many verses of Scriptures is all encompassing (Romans 13:10b).
All of these nine components stand alone, yet none can operate fully without the other. The same goes for longsuffering, which is self-explanatory the kind of suffering that is long, enduring, and almost indefinite. It means the godly virtue that works continually within the life of an individual until it achieves the rightful purpose.
Some versions of the Bible defines it as, “forbearance or patience”. It works hand in hand with endurance and perseverance until the expected godly character is manifested.
