God’s word as can be seen and understood in the Holy Scriptures, clearly teaches that Christ wants the lives and ministries of His followers to be characterised by the supernatural, doing great wonders as He (Jesus) did. Just like Jesus, those who spread the message of forgiveness and eternal life through their faith in Christ should also perform miracles in His name. This will be a proof that the kingdom of God is active and very much available here on earth.

In Mathew 10:1, the Bible says, “And when he had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease Jesus wants His followers to spiritually stand against the forces of evil by driving out evil spirits (i.e., commanding them to release the control of individuals whose bodies they haye taken over and inhabited) and by healing the sick who may also be troubled and discouraged by satan.
