16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.
17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.
23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

When Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the prince of demons, He spoke to them in parables: “How can satan cast out satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end” (Mark 3:23b-26).
The Scriptures above inspired the popular phrase: “Divided we fall; united we stand.” This adage is used to encourage unity among members of a group or family. Every family must give it a serious consideration in their bid to build a formidable front against the enemy. Any family that wishes to withstand the onslaught of the wicked one against their progress must be united in Christ. The strategy of “Divided we fall”, is well understood and utilised by the enemy to carry out his work of destruction in families.

Sadly enough, some people out of ignorance actually accept as fate or destiny anything that runs in their families, whether good or bad. They will tell you that it is the will of God. They accept is as the will of God and live with it till they die and pass on the same fate to their offspring, and from generation to generation.
They are made to believe that it is a hopeless situation; and nothing can be done to change it. Today, God will open your eyes to understand that it ought not to be so because in Jeremiah 29:11, He says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
