MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 6TH NOVEMBER 2021
The birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provide real hope for now and the future. If our hope in Christ is only for the life here on earth, we are most miserable of all men (1 Corinthians 15:19).
The popular Hymn, “Because He Lives” gives assurance that life is worth living just because Jesus lives. He is alive in you as a child of God. What is the meaning of this? Life is about times and seasons. Sometimes, it will look as if you are about to be drowned and the circumstances will be overwhelming. Seasons that will come like a flood and appear as if you will be carried away.
There are also seasons that burn like fire. Of course there are also times of refreshing. The hope that we have in every season of life is that Jesus lives. He is with us and for us (Hebrews 13:5). We have a high priest that can be touched with the feeling of our infirmity. You can boldly say that God is your helper. This should also make you to live soberly with great contentment in whatever situation or circumstance you find yourself.
Always know that the greater One is living in you and He will never forsake you. The gospel truth you must believe to be free is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God who died for you on the Cross and rose for your justification lives forevermore.
Because He lives, you have victory over the spirit of death and hell. You have dominion over satan and his kingdom and hosts. You have abundant live and an eternity in heaven. You are more than a conqueror and all things are yours.
Beloved, Jesus lives, Halleluyah! Are you a true child of God? Then you have assurance, freedom and hope to face tomorrow with conviction and confidence that Jesus lives. If you are not a real child of God, surrender your life to Jesus now so that you can boldly sing with the rest of us that, because He lives you can face tomorrow .
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. The water of affliction will not swallow me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, raise a standard against the flood of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
3. I refuse to swim in the rivers of affliction, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Covetousness will not rob me of my eternal destiny, in the name of Jesus.
5. I b i n d e v e r y s p i r i t o f discouragement, in the name of Jesus.
6. Greater is He that is in me. I will overcome every battle of life, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, empower me to trust you, no matter what comes my way, in the name of Jesus.
