MAX LUCADO DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY 18TH JULY 2022.

Is anyone still left in Saul’s family? I want to show kindness to that person for Jonathan’s sake!” (2 Samuel 9:1 NCV). Those who are prone to extend grace tend to ask such questions: can’t I be kind to someone because others have been kind to me?

A servant named Ziba knows of a descendant. “Jonathan has a son who is still living who is crippled in both feet” (2 Samuel 9:3). David’s only response is, “Where is this son?” (v. 4).

When God speaks of you my friend, he doesn’t mention your plight, pain, or problem. He calls you his son, his daughter, his child.

Mephibosheth was taken before the king, and David’s first words to him were, “Don’t be afraid.” By the way, your king has been known to say the same. Are you aware that the most repeated command from the lips of Jesus was Fear not? He still calls you a part of his family.
