JOEL OSTEEN MESSAGE FOR TODAY MONDAY 9TH 2021.
We all have people who make negative comments about us, trying to discredit and belittle us. It’s easy to get baited into conflict, thinking, “Did you see what they said about me on social media?” Human nature says to defend ourselves, straighten them out, and prove them wrong.
But just as soon as you get one person straightened out, three more pop up. There will always be somebody who’s against you. If you’re constantly trying to defend yourself, you’ll get distracted into fighting battles that you were never supposed to fight. That’s spending emotional energy that you need for your dreams, for your goals.
You don’t have to defend yourself. God said He will be your lawyer. He will protect your reputation. Quit worrying about what they think, quit reading what they say about you on social media, quit getting all riled up and thinking of ways you can change their mind, pay them back, or retaliate. It’s time to leave that case in the hands of God.
