JOEL OSTEEN MESSAGE FOR TODAY SATURDAY 1ST MAY 2021.

For David, another ordinary day of taking care of sheep suddenly changed when a messenger came running and called him back to his father’s house to be anointed by Samuel as the next king of Israel. It happened unexpectedly. Up to that point he’d been overlooked, discounted, and pushed down by his family.

It’s interesting that David wasn’t dreaming about being a king. He wasn’t praying that one day he would lead a nation. He never thought he would defeat a giant and become a national hero. That kind of influence and favor never entered his mind. You may feel like you’re stuck, left out, and ignored, but God is watching you.

The key to promotion is to be faithful where you are, to be excellent on the level you’re on right now. Pass the test in the shepherds’ fields. You never know when that messenger is going to show up and call you into the house. Suddenly, you get that break that thrusts you to a new level.
