There is nothing you can ever do to ‘score points’ to be in good books with God. You don’t even have to try. Christ met every condition for pleasing God on your behalf. Let that truth marinate in your heart.
It is important that you understand that God is already pleased with you, not based on anything you have done or will do, but based solely on what Jesus has already done. That is grace. His grace liberates you from trying to please Him. In fact, if you are trying to please God, your attempt is a failure because it is an expression of self-righteousness.
Self-righteousness is thinking you are powerful enough to do by your own strength what only Christ can do and has already done. Your actions can never make you righteous. Christ’s actions on the cross already made you right with God. Not only did He make you right with God, but He also gave you His very own righteousness. The life of a Christian is understanding, receiving, and operating in grace consciousness, it is that consciousness that produces right actions.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am free from approval addiction because I understand that God’s love for me will never change. I live a life of rest because I receive the Grace that has been provided for me. Grace is available for everything I ever need and everything God has called me to do.
