Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4:15
For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 23RD FEBRUARY 2022.
God is more concerned with who you listen to than what you do. In the Garden of Eden, the devil used the body of a serpent and approached Eve with an offer she could have refused but did not. In her deception, she turned around and presented the offer to her husband, Adam. When God came to meet them in the cool of the day and their disobedience was exposed, the first question He asked them was, “Who told you …?” Their greatest downfall was in not recognising the value of the voice of their Father.
This is a lesson to all of us on the importance of finding and listening to the right voice. We are at the end of the end times. Jesus is coming soon. And it is paramount that you find and tune into the voice that God has ordained for you to hear.
You need the guidance of a father, just as Adam and Eve needed the words of their Father to keep them from deception. Elisha received the double portion only when he recognised Elijah as his father. Apostle Paul imparted to Timothy, his son in the Lord. He also encouraged those in his time to follow him as he followed Christ. Even the Lord Jesus, God in flesh, sought the guidance of His heavenly Father. How much more should you? You do not need to make this journey alone. The principle of submission was instituted by God to make it easier for you to follow a prescribed order.
It also allows you to benefit from the grace of the one who is in authority over you. Just as the star led the wise men straight to Jesus, you shall find your star. I want to pray for you.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
May my grace be your grace. The same unction that is upon my life is working for you now. Every success and accomplishment shall be the starting point for your success and accomplishments in the mighty Name of Jesus!
