The Topic of Goodnews Daily Devotional for 18th August 2022 Is “Empowered By Grace”
Today’s Scripture: John 8:10-11 (KJV)
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 18TH AUGUST 2022.
In this account, the scribes and Pharisees arrested a woman who was caught in the very act of adultery. They dragged her out into the streets, naked and ashamed. But they made one big mistake – they brought her to Jesus. They expected condemnation and death to be her end. What they did not realise was that whenever Jesus is introduced to a situation, Grace is introduced. When Jesus told the woman to go and sin no more, it was not an instruction. He was imparting grace to her. When Jesus comes into your life, Grace comes into your life. Grace is not a license to sin; it is an empowerment to not sin.
Jesus has wiped your slate clean, and He has given you the power to live above the accusations of the enemy. When others accuse you, or even when your own heart accuses you, Grace will speak for you. Consistently read the word. As you do, grace is increasing in your life. If there is an area of your life where you find yourself struggling, get scriptures that attack that point of weakness, and walk in the freedom of grace!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
All my wrongdoings are blotted out. I am not a sinner saved by grace. I am a brand-new creation that is empowered by grace!
