GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 2022.
When you ask most Christians, what’s the order of priority on God’s list of things so dear to God’s heart? Most will probably answer ‘soul winning’. The truth of the matter is different. In as much as God is concerned with Soul Winning, the top on God’s list is: to be believed. The essence of God’s relation with man always begins with God calculating whether you believe him. Whether you will take God at his word or not. To God, there is no middle ground or sitting on the fences. God had to double-check Abraham on this when he told him to go and sacrifice his only son Isaac; to the point that when Abraham was about to do just that, then God had to stop him.
The Bible puts it: ‘Then Abram believed in (affirmed, trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the LORD; and he counted (credited) it to him as righteousness (doing right in regard to God and man)’ (Genesis 15:6, Amplified version). You see how God looks at believing in him, He puts it on the balance sheet of heaven and credits it to your account as righteousness. This is the kind of God we worship, whose obsession is ‘believing in Him’. When you have established to God that you believe in Him, you know for sure that your bank balance changes automatically.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I believe in God! I now trust in God with my whole being: spirit, soul, and body. My life will never be the same anymore. Amen!
