The Topic of Goodnews Daily Devotional for 4th June 2022 Is “RHEMA TO LOGOS”
Today’s Scripture: Mathew 4: 10
Then Jesus saith unto him, Get thee hence Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 4TH JUNE 2022.
The word of God comes in two common forms known to the church which is “Logos” and “ Rhema” These two Greek words reveal different paradigms of the word of God. Logos is the written word of God, the words you are reading from the bible and quoting everyday. On the other hand “Rhema” is the spoken word of God. Our scripture above shows Jesus’s response to the pestering of the devil who wanted him to bow down and worship him. Take note that the devil had the audacity to go for “Jesus “ not a disciple, after Jesus fasted and prayed. This shows that the enemy is not afraid of fasting or prayer but something beyond. When the devil tempted Jesus for the first and second time, Jesus was giving him “logos”: written word.
On the last time, the scripture revealed that Jesus commanded the enemy from his mouth, “get away Satan, for it is written…” He was dismissed by the words which Jesus spoke himself not just quoted. The enemy is not afraid about what comes from your Bible or from a book written by your man of God but by God ‘s word that comes through your mouth. This is something that you say from your inner self. It is the word that you took to be part of your life and you speak it with conviction. Today feed the logos and turn it into Rhema, and you shall come back with a testimony. Declare every blessing and positive word upon your life .
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am blessed of the Lord and his word is in my heart. The enemy has no power over me, for God is my fortress and my strong tower. I am the blessed of the Lord. Hallelujah!
