In order to understand todays scripture, we need to establish what a liar is. A liar is someone who speaks anything that is contrary to God’s Word. It doesn’t make a difference how nice something might sound or how popular it is, if it does not line up with the Word of God, it is a lie.
If you look at our scripture reference, you immediately see the importance of being an honest leader. Majority of people reading this devotional right now are leaders in different capacities of leadership. You might be the head of a home, team leader at your workplace, a Pastor or someone placed in authority over something however small – that makes you a leader and subject to today’s word.
For example, if you keep telling people supernatural healing is hard, or that God does not love everybody, those are lies. If you are prone to recklessly listening to everything you hear without the leading of the Holy Spirit – you become subject to lies that are detrimental to those under you. For as long as you give attention to lies, everyone around you becomes as bad the lies spoken. Be careful what you hear.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The Holy Spirit guides me to walk in truth. I am a person of truth therefore, truth will promote and protect me and those who look up to me, in Jesus Name! Amen.
