TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 31ST MARCH 2021
This is one of those verses that makes me want to run! We serve a God of extravagance. This is a God who blessed a man called David to the extent that gold and silver were as common as stones you kick around. This same God blessed David’s son Solomon with riches that could make queens faint and with wisdom that would make the wisest sages take notes.
So, when you read a verse like our scripture for today, you ought to get excited! Especially, you being the God-Kind. This is a verse often misquoted. It does not say that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you ask or think. It says, exceeding abundantly.
That means He takes you to a level of consistent superabundance where you have more than more than enough, and then He goes over and beyond that. But He doesn’t stop there. It says all you could ever ask for and anything you dare to think or imagine, He will do exceeding abundantly above that.
Oh, hallelujah! God is not interested in just giving you abundance. That would be an insult to His extravagant, superfl uous, over the top nature. This verse tells you that His desire is to take you beyond excessive abundance, not only in quantity but also in quality. Dare to dream with this God of too much, and you will enjoy life beyond your wildest dreams!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
God is showing up and showing off in my life. He puts a smile on my lips and a spring in my step. I have more than more than enough. I am an example of His extravagant love, tremendous grace, and gracious generosity.
