TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 26TH MAY 2021
God created us for intimacy. He wants to have a relationship with His creation, but not just a relationship, but an intimate relationship. When He created you, He had in his mind love, fellowship, and the pleasure to see and hear His creation enjoy oneness with Him.
In our text, the Greek words Pneuma and Alētheia are the words Spirit and Truth. Our worship of God should be one of honesty of mind, free from needing stimulation from outside influences to worship Him and from needing an atmosphere to encourage us to worship.
READ RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FOR TODAY MAY 2021
There is no falsehood in Alētheia (truth). God is Spirit, and He craves spirit to worship Him. Paul says, I serve God with my spirit. It’s your spirit that has been created to connect with God in such a manner of total surrender and intimate fellowship.
From today begin to have a lifestyle of worship. Let your mind be completely saturated with His love and Presence. Let nothing motivate you to worship and love Him, but just because he created you.
