TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It is not biblical to ask God for forgiveness. Forgiveness was never God’s plan for you. What God wants is for you to be free from sin. I know you’re wondering, what about 1 John 1 verse 9. Isn’t that saying we should confess our sins and ask for forgiveness? I’m glad you asked.
The problem with confessing your sins is obvious when you consider the following question. What about the sins you don’t remember or are not even aware of? If your relationship with God and right-standing with Him was dependent on you knowing, remembering, and confessing every sin, you would be in trouble.
Fortunately for you, your relationship and righteousness are not based on what you say about your sins. They are based on what Christ has already done about your sins. In your New Creation reality, God is not forgiving you. He has provided forgiveness, and you take it if you have a need.
Paul was sent as a minister to us. The Bible says his assignment was to turn people from Satan’s power unto God, that they may “receive forgiveness of sins” (Acts 26:18). The word translated “receive” is the Greek word lambánō.
It means to seize as if by force, to take it, not ask for it. New Creation Christians don’t ask for forgiveness. We take it by force because we are the God-Kind. It’s already been provided. If you make a mistake, take it!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a New Creation Christian. I walk with Christ in the light of His Word. I am not subject to sin or Satan. I live the high life free of the guilt and shame of sin!
