TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

When people hear about forgiveness, they tend not to look a little closer as to what it fully means to be a Christian. When you forgive a person, it doesn’t mean you have forgotten what they did.
The record of their wrongdoing is still there. The scripture above tells a different story about God’s kind of forgiveness. It says we have received forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace.
The word ‘forgiveness’ there is áphesis in the Greek rendering. It means the complete blotting away of sins, a complete release from bondage or imprisonment, and letting go as if the sin had never been committed. In Christ, you are not pardoned of your sins. They don’t exist at all! You received remission of sins, a complete blotting away.
I’ve met many Christians who live in total shame of things they did in the past. They can’t even pray as a result. Yes, you did something wrong or things you’re not proud of, but don’t let that shame dominate you. To God, those sins were never committed in the fi rst place. When the devil reminds you of your sin, remind him of Jesus on the cross. He took it all hallelujah!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Today I forgive myself. I am free. I am clean. I am forgiven! Thank you, Lord Jesus!
