The Topic of Goodnews Daily for 9th March 2021 Is “SUPPLY CONSCIOUS”
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:26, 31-32
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? … Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
I have never seen a bird suffering from malnutrition or holding up a sign saying, “Will work for food.” I am a lover of nature, and I enjoy watching birds as they receive God’s abundant supply. Some peck down into the soil and pull out a worm for their supper. Others swoop down from the sky and scoop fish right out of the sea.
They don’t have to ask, beg, or work for what they need. They only have to move in expectation of God’s provision and receive. When birds catch worms or fish, there are plenty more worms left in the ground and an abundance of fish in the sea. Jesus fed the 5,000, not including women and children.
There was enough for everyone to get a belly full plus plenty left over. God over-supplies and over-delivers. He is the God of abundance, the Many-breasted One whose supply never runs out. God has already anticipated every need you would ever have and has made provision for every single one of them.
Lack is not in God’s vocabulary, and it should not be in yours. Don’t skimp today in expectation of not having enough tomorrow. Get out of a “need” mindset and be supply conscious, for your God is the God of abundance.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a citizen of the Kingdom, and I have no lack. I expect to receive good things from the hand of my gracious heavenly Father. My desires are satisfied. My money never runs out. I live a life of no limits, for I am abundantly supplied.
