TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: John 15:5
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without me you can do nothing.
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2020
In our scripture for today, the Lord Jesus teaches us a way for us to produce fruit in every area of our lives. He says that He is the Vine and we are the branches, and if we continue to abide in HIM as the branch is joined to the vine, the fruit production is inevitable.
Glory be to God! We are already wired and connected for success. As we are His branches, all we have to do is to abide or remain in Christ our Vine.
The word there translated as ‘abide’ in the Greek rendering is meno. It means: to continue to be present, not to depart; to tarry. Do you see that? How do you do that? By renewing your mind with the good news of God’s grace, being conscious every day of our position in Christ.
Because you have received Christ, you are in Christ and are accepted in the beloved. What the devil tries to do is to remove you from the Vine. He does this by getting you to focus on your condition instead of your position in Christ.
The condition you are facing could be financial lack or deteriorating health. Stay focused on your position, not your condition. Don’t be a forgetful hearer of God’s Word. Stick to the Word, and you will come back with a testimony.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Jesus is the Vine, and I am the Branch. I abide in Him and therefore will produce fruit in season and out of season. I am enjoying all that belongs to me in Christ Jesus. I live and walk in prosperity and good health.
