ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 25TH APRIL 2024.
Holding the truth in ungodliness and unrighteousness attracts the wrath of God and eternal damnation. Many in the church today cannot deny hearing and knowing the truth from sound preachers and teachers of the raw word. They also read the truth directly from the Bible but refuse to apply and walk in it for total freedom.
The truth of God, which is God’s word, carries the anointing and inspiration, ignited by the fire of the Spirit to break yokes. How long will you know but refuse to glorify God? To fear God and honour Him, we must walk in the truth and walking in the truth simply means obeying the word of God – being a doer of the word in situations. It is wickedness to change the truth of God into a lie, no wonder as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, He gave them over to a reprobate mind to dishonour their bodies (Rom. 1: 25, vv28). To have peace and joy, we must walk in the truth. He who walks in the truth exposes the works of darkness and the flesh. Surely, walking in the truth is joy’s proof producer.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to walk in the truth so that I will not fulfil the desires of the flesh, Amen.
