Joel Osteen Daily Inspiration for Today 23rd August 2022.

When our gas tank is near empty, we get to a gas station and fill it up. When we’re about to make a payment, we make sure we have enough money in our account to cover the amount. So why don’t we do the same with our mental/emotional/spiritual tank when we’re rushing through life and running on empty? When we find that we’re easily frustrated and upset, when everything seems impossibly hard and we’re thinking things are never going to change, we’re being overwhelmed and need a refill.

But what do we do instead of taking a pause? We dash around and forget to stop and breathe in those beautiful moments when our child kisses our cheek or when our husband tells us he loves us. We get a promotion at work…and it’s right back to work. We need to learn to take a minute and breathe it all in and say, “Thank You, Lord!” We need to take the time to stop and be grateful. We need to go outside and gaze at the trees and the big blue sky that God made for us to enjoy. Put life on pause, collect your thoughts, and realize that God created you to enjoy the good things in your life.

Jesus came to give us the abundant life we need to fill our mental/emotional/spiritual tank. God wants you to have everything that Jesus came to give you. Sometimes to fill your spiritual tank is as simple as reminding yourself that you are God’s masterpiece…that you’re made in His image, that He specifically designed you, and you’re lacking nothing in Him. You have everything you need to accomplish what He’s called you to do. God wants to “strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being” (Ephesians 3:16), so that you are anchored strong and secure in Him.

Today I want to remind you that you’re not a victim of the world’s pace, but you are a victor. The Scripture says, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57). It says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith” (1 John 5:4). It also says that “we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). We can literally think the thoughts of our champion Jesus Christ; we can attach ourselves to His champion mentality.

You need to dwell on these truths. Get them into your heart and mind and fill your tank. You are a champion. You have what it takes to overcome the challenges of life. Take the time to be refilled with God’s strength.
