ANNUAL 2021 21-DAY PUSH & Share

Day 19 – Friday 2nd April

THANKSGIVING FOR THE FINISHED WORK

TEXT: 2 Pet 1:3-4

“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

  1. Thank God for the great substitution on the cross that has secured our futures in Christ. When the blood was shed for us, it meant life in the place of death, sonship in the place of estrangement, and acceptance in the place of rejection; we are accepted in the beloved.

  2. Thank God because we have been delivered from bondage to the spirit of fear and have received the Spirit of adoption by which we have obtained sonship in Christ. Behold, what manner of love the Father has shown to us, that we should be called the sons of God!

  3. Thank God for the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Where the blood of Abel spoke vengeance, the blood of Jesus speaks forgiveness. Where that of Abel spoke death, the blood of Jesus speaks life. Where that of Abel spoke judgement, the blood of Jesus speaks redemption for us. Thank God for the blood!

  4. Thank God because He has given us His beauty for our ashes, His joy for our mourning, His garment of praise for our heaviness, so that we may be trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. Thank Him that, because of the cross, the weak can say “I am strong”!

  5. Thank God for perfecting all that concerns us. What a great opportunity, in this season when we remember the death and resurrection of our Lord, to call to remembrance that which He has already done, the finished work on the cross. It is finished!

  6. Thank God because He declares the end from the beginning and completes that which concerns us even before we know its beginning. His promises never fail, and when He speaks, it is done!

  7. Thank God because He is ultimately in control. Let us lift up our voices in thanksgiving to Him who is able to make all things work together for our good – to Him be all the glory, honour, praise, thanksgiving, wisdom, power and majesty, forever and ever, Amen!

Thank God for answered prayers.
