ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE  FOR 19TH JANUARY 2021.

This is a new year with new expectations and everyone will like to move from one stage of life to a better stage. As expected, many people will be seeking divine visitation this time in order to have fulfilled days ahead. The Israelites as we can observe, were in a progressive movement; they needed the presence of God to achieve success.

Joshua therefore asked them to consecrate themselves (v.5). To consecrate means to purify or sanctify. Joshua did not tell them that God would consecrate them; they were to do the work themselves. In 2 Timothy 2:21, the scriptures say, “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonourable, he will be a vessel for honourable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of
the house, readv for every good work.
