TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY 22ND AUGUST 2019 – THE WORLD WANTS TO SEE JESUS

“The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.”

Beloved, people are tired of gimmicks. They are tired of you carrying the Bible and nothing to show for it. You can have as many Bibles as you want in different translations. That is not the issue. The issue is this, the world is in agony, they are confused and perplexed and they want to see Jesus.

They are tired of gimmicks and manipulations. They are tired of ‘superstars’ and they are tired of people who want to show off that they are born again. They want to see the character of Jesus in us. How can you be a Christian sitting under all the anointing and yet nothing is happening in your life?

The Bible tells us that by their fruits you shall know them, not by their works and not by their gifts. Let your light so shine that they might see His good works and glorify His name. We want to see Jesus!  That is what the world is concerned about today.

They are tired, they’re frustrated, they’re discouraged, they’re confused, and they can no longer take the pressures of life. They want to see Jesus, who is the answer and solution to every problem. They want to see Him. They want to see Jesus who is seated at the right hand of God Almighty.  It is an indictment if they look at us and they are not able to see Him

Jesus said, ‘Have I been with you all this while and you are saying show me the Father? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. (John 14:9) If you want to know how the Father smiles, look at me. If you want to know how the Father reacts when there are situations around Him, look at me. That is what Jesus was saying.

Beloved, the world wants to see Jesus in all of us and in every area of our lives. We are the instruments that will reveal Jesus to the world.
