TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

It is against the character and nature of God for Him to have something good with Him and, is able to do something good but He withholds it back from His children. It is religion that gives you the impression that God will not release the blessing unless you do something first. That was why religion failed Jairus. When religion failed, Jairus advised himself and decided to seek grace, which is unmerited, unearned and undeserved. Religion will fail you.

Religion tells you: do this, get good. Do that, get bad. Religion is only meant to kill you, frustrate you and make your life miserable. I hate religion. I hate it with a passion. And you would be shocked to know that there are many religious people in the Church today.

They have figured out who God is and how God should function. And as a result, they miss Him. God is not someone you can study like Geography or History. He is a revelation. The more you know, the more you discover you have not known. Even throughout eternity, we shall still be learning about this God. He is infinite, awesome, mighty, and majestic.

What religion failed to do for Jairus, Grace did not refuse. Grace will never refuse you. So, Grace and Jairus went on their way to the house of death. Death said it’s over, but Grace said ‘No!’ I do not know what the enemy has said to you. But the good news is Grace is never late. Grace is always on time. When we talk about Grace, do not forget that it is not just a concept, it is a Person. The law was given by Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.
