TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

If you are not a thinker, you are not reading, you are not developing your mind, you are not studying, and you are not paying the price as you ought to, God can still use you. But it will be limited. Do not be jealous of someone who is paying extra price.  Don’t be envious of someone who is going all the way and stretching himself. Don’t expect that you would get the same result with that person. No, you can’t.

Have you ever wondered why God had to commit into the hand of Paul the responsibility to write the letters that we are reading today? If you read the letters of Paul, you will discover it has more depth than that of the other apostles. Even Peter said, ‘your letters are difficult to understand.’ Why did God commit into his hands the responsibility of explaining what it means to be a new creation?

Paul was a great mind! He was a thinker!  God knew he would be able to sit down, analyze things and figure out what the new creation is all about. One of the things that would climax the age is that great minds will arise. In Daniel 12:4; the Bible says: ‘knowledge will increase.’ People are reading, people are watching news channels, and they are surfing the internet. They are developing their minds.

They can’t afford to come to church for you to dance around, and you expect them to sit down and allow you waste their time? They want to hear what to do. They want to be told the answer to the challenges in their lives.  They want solutions that will work when they move out of the church to apply them.

These are the things that keep me going. I still have more to offer my generation. I cannot afford to give them stale bread. I cannot afford to begin to tell stories. I must go into the scriptures and find out what God saying now! I must consecrate myself. The same applies to you. Pay the price to develop capacity for what God desires to accomplish through you.
