When you recognize what God has done, you don’t take for granted that it was His hand all through your life that got you to where you are today. Then, it’s easy to stay grateful. It’s easy to thank Him. It’s easy to go to church. It’s easy to be good to others.
Recognize that where you are in life is because of the mercy of God. Give thanks every day.
One time the disciples asked Jesus how to pray. He gave them what we know as the Lord’s prayer. He started off saying, “Our Father, who art in heaven.” It goes on to talk about giving us our daily bread, protecting us from evil, helping us to forgive…on and on.
If you’re going to have a good attitude, you have to do it on purpose because there will be all kinds of negative things that try to creep in, bitterness, discouragement, self-pity. If you’re not proactive, if you don’t choose the right attitude, then the wrong attitude will show up.
