2021 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES MESSAGE.

It was Steven’s first day in the army cadet and he was pretty excited to join what Michael had called “the most respected group around here.”

“Attention!” a gruff voice barked from behind them. That must be the cadet instructor. Steven and Michael quickly separated and joined the straight line formed by the other cadets.

“Listen to me and listen to me clearly! If you must be a soldier in this cadet, you must be strong and tough. There’s absolutely no place, I repeat, no place for sissies in this army cadet!”

You may not be in a physical army regiment like Steven and Michael, but you should realise that you’re in God’s army; you’re a soldier of Jesus Christ. As such, you must be trained and fully equipped for the fight of faith so that you’re strong enough to endure hard times. For instance, you shouldn’t complain of your arms aching when you’re told to lift up your hands in worship, or of feeling tired when you’re told to stand up to pray or share the Gospel with others.

Jesus is our perfect example of who a true soldier in God’s army should be like. He endured the Cross, despised the shame (Hebrews 12:2), and went on to give His life to save us, because He saw what we would become. Now, we’re His seed, called to prolong His days through the preaching of the Gospel. That’s our job as soldiers in God’s end-time army.
